Jaroslav Fišer’s impressive abstract poster design for 70s Czech war drama.

Poster is in A3 format (40 x 28.5 cm). Unfolded. Occasional crease and few small cracks on edges. Folds in some corners. Stain spots in bottom corner at the back. Three larger circular tears/paper loss at the back, making paper bit transparent. Few soft spots across edges. Very nice condition (NOT PHOTOGRAPHED, PLEASE ASK IF YOU WISH TO SEE A PHOTO).

Movie posters in our collection were promotional materials. Posters used on display in the cinemas across the former Czechoslovakia. They bear signs of their age.

Jaroslav Fišer studied at the Technical University in Prague and at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, Prague. In between 1959 – 1987 he designed 104 movie posters. His movie poster The Apple Game (Věra Chytilová) won him a Silver Hugo at Film Festival in Chicago, USA.
