The Firemen’s Ball movie poster designed for Miloš Forman’s excellent comedy nominated for an Oscar in a Best Foreign Language Film category in 1969. In spite its international success the movie was banned by the Communist Regime. The movie was the first colour film by Forman and the last he had directed in his native Czechoslovakia. The Firemen’s Ball is considered one of the most important films of Czechoslovak New Wave. Excellent collage design was made by Vladimír Bidlo. Please note this is the second edition of the poster printed in 1988.
Poster is in A3 formzt (41.5 x 28.7 cm). Folded in the middle. Tiny pinholes and tiny spots top left edge. Very nice condition.
