In many cases poster designers did not get the chance to watch the movie before designing the posters, or simply they did feel like it. Selection of the movies has rapidly changed since August 68′ occupation. Artists would go on in their own direction and make even bad movie, look good on the poster. Minimalist collage poster designed for Věra Chytilová’s controversial comedy drama by Jaroslav Fišer. Movie has been banned by the Communist censors right after the screening and has not seen the light again until 1989. Officials believed such a movie would have a terrible influence on young. Promotional materials were usually scrapped.
