Surreal Posters / Czechoslovak Poster Archive.
Discover magical collection of Surreal Posters created by award winning graphic designers and fine artists from the country once called Czechoslovakia. Surreal / surrealism, or other art disciplines were big NO and banned by the communist authorities. Dreaming sounded way too unwilling and suspicious for the regime. There wasn’t so much place for exhibiting either, but on the posters anything seemed possible. 60’s movie posters brought in lots of experiments by pioneers such as Karel Vaca or Karel Teissig to name few.
