    Jaroslav Fišer’s illustrated poster design for ’70s Soviet war movie.

    Poster is in A3 format (40.2 x 29 cm). Folded in the middle. Some crease across. Few small cracks on edges. Several pinholes in corners. Large bit of bottom right corner is missing. 0.5 cm crack on top right edge. Nice condition.

    Movie posters in our collection were promotional materials. Posters used on display in the cinemas across the former Czechoslovakia. They bear signs of their age.

    Jaroslav Fišer studied at the Technical University in Prague and at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design, Prague. In between 1959 – 1987 he designed 104 movie posters. His movie poster The Apple Game (Věra Chytilová) won him a Silver Hugo at Film Festival in Chicago, USA.
